Prepare Churros step by step

  1. Heat the water together with the salt in a saucepan. Meanwhile sift the flour into a large bowl.
  2. When the water starts to boil, pour the water directly over the flour all at once and, with the help of a wooden spoon, stir until you get a compact and sticky dough. (Watch out! It burns, I tell you from experience)
  3. Add the dough to a churrera, if you have one (which would be very rare), the churrera is without a doubt the best option, since it applies the optimal pressure to the dough, if you do not have a churrera, you can use a piping bag. To make perfect churros you must compact the dough well in the sleeve.
  4. In a deep frying pan or saucepan, add the oil, enough to cover the churros and make them float, and heat over high heat.
  5. While it is heating you can make the churros on a kitchen cloth or parchment paper, with a length of 15 to 20 cm, with this you will get the dough to warm up a little so they do not explode during frying.
  6. Add the churros to the pan and fry the churros over medium heat to prevent them from being raw inside, until they are well browned. You must rotate the churros with the help of a couple of wooden cutlery so that they are the same on all sides.
  7. Once all the churros are done, let them drain and sprinkle the sugar on them and your churros are ready to serve.
